Alnico grade 5 bar magnets have exceptional magnetic properties. They offer excellent temperature stability in very high temperature environments, and can be used at temperatures up to 1000ºF (500ºC). Composed of aluminum (Al), nickel (Ni), and cobalt (Co) alloys, alnico magnets are relatively high in magnetic strength, and have a high resistance to corrosion or demagnetization.

Standard Dimensional Tolerances for Alnico Bar Magnets
Generally the standard dimensional tolerance for bar magnets is +/-0.005" on both width & thickness & +/-0.015" on length.

Alnico bar magnets are manufactured through either a casting or sintering process. They can be made into complex shapes such as horseshoes, which is not possible to do with other magnet materials.
